Decorative Cucumbers

Two large, dead mums had stood next to the front steps well into May, but they are finally gone. In their place we planted two marigolds that we had gotten as part of a fundraiser from M's child care center, but that left plenty of real estate in the long, ceramic planter for something else.

Somehow we had run out of space in the planters out back, so I suggested cucumbers. I figure a couple vines will fill out the planter nicely and spill over as a green fringe. The yellow flowers should look nice, and they might even yield some fruit.
